The St. Augustine Trust for Historic Preservation receives no regular funding from any government agency therefore sponsors and gifts are an essential component of funding for historic preservation efforts.

A major sponsored event is the Noche de Gala, a formal masked ball and dinner celebrating the birthday of Menendez de Aviles, the founder of St. Augustine.
